Two of our graduate students - Nora Csanyi and Eva Paska - that work at the Center for Mapping were recently notified that they will receive a very prestigious ASPRS (American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) award at the upcoming Awards Luncheon being held at the ASPRS 2005 Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland on Wednesday, March 9th. Both students faced a very tough national competition, but were winners.
Nora will be awarded the 2005 Leica Geosystems Internship. The award consists of a stipend of $2500 plus travel and living expenses during her 6-week internship at Leica (either in Colorado or San Diego).
Eva will be receiving the 2005 Robert E. Altenhofen Memorial Scholarship Award. The scholarship is $2000 and she will receive a very nice certificate.
